Youngs Bitter (3.7%) a flavoursome thirst quenching ale with a subtle hoppy taste, fruity aromas and a satisfying bitter finish. This is also one of our top sellers, a truly great pint.

We often have a selection of ales from The Hammerpot Brewery. Another great local brewery with a great range of ales, operating since 2005.

Hophead at 3.8% is one of our most popular beers and has a huge following across the south coast and I am sure even much further. It is a pale golden colour, cool crisp and refreshing with a slight hoppy bitterness.
Many of our customers who drink it say that they seem to get drunk drinking this as opposed to drinking some of the stronger beers. That's because it's too 'moreish' and they always end up drinking more than they realise!!

From time to time, in addition to Hophead we will also have other Ales from Dark Stars excellent range.

Summer Lightening at 5%, is another of our permanent range. A light straw coloured beer probably a trend setter in this particular style. Refreshing with hoppy aromas. This is on all year round, for a summer ale, thats pretty good!!

Old Speckled Hen (4.5%), this is one of Greene Kings Flagship Brands. A dry traditional copper coloured ale with a slight bitter and burnt wheat flavour.

Hip Hop (4.0%) and Sundowner (4.2%) are produced by Langham Brewery in Lodsworth, West Sussex. They have been commercially brewing for 2 or 3 years but have been brewing their own beer for many years.

It is great to have another good local brewery close by.

Arundel Brewery has been operating since 1992
Sussex Gold at 4.2% and ASB at 4.5% are both great ales.
We try to have these on our pumps a few times a year.

Hole Hearted (4.7%) Brewed with 100% Cascade Hops. When we have this one on the pumps it doesn't last for long

Many thanks for Western Sussex CAMRA for their continuous support. Many thanks for last years Best Pub of the Year (2008) award.

We are members of the Cask Marque scheme which promotes good quality Real Ale, through good cellar practice.
