Tasting Notes

The Blackjack Aces High is a USA IPA. It pours a mid golden straw colour with a frothy head with lots of clingy lace. There is a big yeast and hops aroma but like all great craft IPAs there are the tropical fruit and citrus notes. The flavour is where it's all happening for this beer though. All those tropical fruits are back with big juicy mango, sauvignon blanc style grapefruit but then there is a bitterness and a citrus dry spice that cuts through to delivery the woody hoppy taste. There is even a touch of mint on the bitter finish.
