About this real ale
Left Lion takes its name from the two great stone lions which guard the Council House steps in Nottingham’s market square, the left of which is traditionally known as the city’s famous meeting place. They were designed by Joseph Else, as were many of the sculptures on the Council House, which opened in 1929. According to local legend, the two tonne art-deco lions are said to roar when a virgin walks by!
Tasting Notes
Left Lion is a traditional chestnut-brown bitter with a rich, creamy head, and flavours of malt and plenty of hops, leading to a perfectly balanced dry finish.
